Wondering how this band got their name? Lead vocal/guitarist, Jim Adkins often fought with his brother, Ed and Jim usually won. But one day Ed got his revenge by drawing a picture with crayon of Jim shoving the earth into his mouth. That's how bore the caption 'Jimmy eat world". 

They started their fame with "the middle" single from Bleed American album. Their music is combination of modern rock and punk rock influences. They are good in performing live.
